She’s in her throwback era. Just a few days after posting a throwback bikini pic, Selena Gomez has now posted a throwback natural, no-make-up selfie from 2019, and Benny Blanco approves.
The music star has really been throwing it back lately, as as well as the old pics, she’s also reuniting with her Wizards of Waverly Place stars as The Russos are back together for the remake of the hit Disney show. Honestly, we’re here for any and every Selena Gomez era!
Selena Gomez posts throwback natural selfie – and new boyfriend Benny Blanco approves
Taking to her 430 million Instagram followers, the Single Soon singer threw it all the way back to 2019, on her trip to Kenya.
In the natural selfies, the 31-year-old, who would have been around 26 at the time, stunned as she chilled in the African sun.
Her short hair rested just below her shoulder in effortless waves as she lightly smiled for the camera with no makeup. In the caption, the star simply used a globe emoji.
In December, Gomez announced her new relationship with music producer Benny Blanco, who left three ‘heart eye’ emojis on the throwback pics.
The couple weren’t dating at the time the picture was taken, however, they did meet all the way back in 2015 when Benny worked on Selena’s 2015 single, Same Old Love.
The singer recently announced she was going on another social media break. However, it didn’t last long, although her comments are limited on her posts. Therefore, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to comment.
“Natural Queen! love her!” exclaimed one.
“She looks like her 22-year-old self. I don’t get it. She must be a real-life wizard,” joked another, who probably didn’t realize it was a throwback.
“I feel like I forgot what Selena Gomez looks like bcos idk something looks off?” questioned another who didn’t recognize the star. We think Selena may have to start making it more clear when she’s throwing it back…
Earlier this week, the Single Soon singer was praised by fans as she shared a throwback bikini picture. Alongside a more recent picture, she wrote: “I’m not perfect, but I am proud to be who I am… Sometimes I forget it’s ok to be me.”

They’re back! Continuing with the throwback theme, Gomez reunited with the Russo family, including onscreen brother, David Henrie.
Also in the post were her onscreen dad, David DeLuise and mom, Maria Canals-Barrera, who starred as Theresa. However, Jake T. Austin was absent from the pic.
“The Russos, coming back,” was captioned alongside the pic, posted by the two Davids.
Of course, fans went wild in the comments. Unfortunately, no set date has been announced for the show yet, although it’s said to be coming sometime in 2024.
As for Selena’s role, she’s said to only be making a guest appearance in the pilot, reprising her role as Alex Russo.
